Privacy Policy

Last updated October 26, 2026
Win at Dawn is built to keep your morning practice on your own device. This policy explains what stays local, what can leave your device, and the choices you have. It covers winatdawn.com, including the public pages and the web and mobile apps.

Who we are

Win at Dawn (“Win at Dawn”, “we”, “us”) operates winatdawn.com, a local-first morning practice tracker. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Your practice data stays on your device

Your practice name, task list, daily logs, timers, quantities, notes, photos, reminder settings, and theme preference are stored only in your browser or on your device. There is no account and no sign-in.
We do not operate a server that receives your practice content. We cannot see or read your tasks, notes, photos, or history.

What can leave your device

Three things can leave your device, and each one is limited to what is described here:
•
Files you choose to create — a JSON or CSV export, or an image or text share card. These are generated on your device and leave it only when you save or share them.
•
Optional web analytics — Google Analytics on the public web pages and app screens, if the site operator has configured a measurement ID. This is described below.
•
Hosting and technical logs — standard information processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested.
We do not use crash or error reporting services. The mobile app does not load analytics, so the analytics controls below are browser-level, on the web.

Optional Google Analytics (web only)

The web build can use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and whether the public pages and core flows work. It is enabled only when the site operator sets a measurement ID at build time. If no ID is configured, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics events are sent.
When enabled, we collect page views and a small set of feature events: a start-flow click, a template selection, a practice being started, completed, or archived, a day being completed, a JSON or CSV export, an image or text share, a reminder being enabled or disabled, an install prompt being shown, clicked, or dismissed, and a return-visit signal. Event parameters are limited to non-content values, such as a template name, a placement label, a card type, or a day number.
We configure analytics so that it does not send task text, practice names, notes, photo content, or free-text journal content. To measure return visits without accounts, the app stores the first and last calendar day you visited in your browser’s local storage and sends only the number of days since your first visit. The dates themselves do not leave the device.
Google may process this data as described in Google’s privacy policy and the Google Analytics terms. IP anonymization is enabled, Google signals are disabled, and ad personalization signals are disabled in our configuration. We do not use analytics for advertising. You can block analytics with browser settings, content blockers, or Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies and local storage

Win at Dawn uses local storage for two different purposes:
•
App local storage — stores your practice state, including tasks, logs, notes, photos, reminders, and settings. It is required for the product to work and is not used for advertising.
•
Analytics storage (web only, when enabled) — Google Analytics may set cookies or similar storage to distinguish visits and measure usage.
•
Analytics visit marker (web only, when enabled) — the first and last calendar day you visited are kept in local storage so return visits can be measured without an account. Only the number of days since your first visit is sent.
Win at Dawn does not run its own advertising or cross-site advertising pixels.

Photos and notifications

A photo you attach to a practice is chosen by you and stored on your device. It is not uploaded. It is included in a share card only when you explicitly turn on the photo option for that share.
Reminders are local and opt-in. If you allow browser notifications, the app checks the time while it is open and shows a notification if the morning is unfinished. There is no push server. You can turn reminders off in the app or revoke notification permission in your browser settings.

Public pages vs app data

The public pages — home, About, the morning routine guides, Privacy, and Terms — do not display your practice data. Visiting them may generate ordinary web logs and, on the web, analytics events. The app screens where you log a morning are private, per-device views, and are marked noindex so they do not appear in a search index.

Data retention

•
On-device practice data — retained until you clear your browser’s site data, uninstall the app, or overwrite it by importing a file. We never hold a copy.
•
Exports and shares — copies you save or send are under your control, whether they live in your email, Files app, or another service.
•
Analytics — retained according to the retention settings configured for the Google Analytics 4 property, if one is enabled.
•
Hosting logs — kept by our hosting provider as short-lived operational logs used to deliver and secure the site.

No sale or sharing of personal information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because there is no account and your practice data stays on your device, we generally cannot identify a particular person’s practice data on our servers — we do not host it.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to access it, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, so there is nothing to opt out of. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law, because we do not collect practice content on our servers.
To make a request, email [email protected]. Because Win at Dawn has no accounts, our ability to locate analytics data that relates to you is limited — analytics records are not tied to an identity. Your practice data lives on your device and is under your control: you can delete it by clearing your browser’s site data or uninstalling the app. We cannot delete on-device data remotely because we never receive it.

Children

Win at Dawn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps.

International use

Win at Dawn is operated with a US-oriented posture. Google Analytics, if enabled, and our hosting provider may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate. If you use the app from elsewhere, you understand that this processing may occur outside your country.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change — for example, if we add or remove an analytics provider. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
